La famille a le regret de vous annoncer le décès de Aline Melançon-Valentine, née le 7 décembre 1926 et décédée le 2 juillet 2020 à l’âge de 93 ans. Elle était la fille de feu Albert Melançon et de feu Eva Vigneault. Aline était l’épouse de feu Michael Valentine (1935-2008), . Elle laisse dans le deuil son frère Paul-Émile Melançon, sa sœur Angéline Melançon, ses filleules; Priscillia,Darcy et Karine Dulude, sa petite nièce, Tanya Darcy ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces et ami (e)s. Aline fut prédécédée par sa fille; Linda (1967-2001), son frère Arthur et ses sœurs Armande, Irène et Jeanine.
Aline était religieuse et infirmière à Shawinigan dans la congrégation des « Sœurs de la Charité d’Ottawa » jusqu’en 1970. Elle a ensuite pris soins de ses parents et enseigné au CEGEP de L’Outaouais en soins infirmiers. Mariée en 1974 puis retraitée en 1989 elle a beaucoup voyagé avec Michael jusqu’en 2007.
La famille souhaite remercier le Centre d’Accueil Champlain, tout spécialement le personnel et les responsables des activités du 2e étage pour tous les bons soins apportés à Aline.
Une célébration commémorative dans la discrétion de ses proches aura lieu le vendredi 10 juillet 2020 à 10h30 en la chapelle de la Maison Funéraire Racine, Robert & Gauthier. Pour les gens du public, la famille vous invite à visionner la célébration en direct à partir de ce lien;

The family regrets to announce the death of Aline Melançon-Valentine, born on 7 December 1926 and died on 2 July 2020 at the age of 93. She was the daughter of the late Albert Melançon and the late Eva Vigneault. Aline was the wife of the late Michael Valentine (1935-2008), . She is survived by her brother Paul-Émile Melançon, her sister Angéline Melançon, her goddaughters; Priscillia, Darcy and Karine Dulude, her great-niece, Tanya Darcy and many nephews, nieces and friends. Aline was predeceased by her daughter; Linda (1967-2001), her brother Arthur and sisters Armande, Irène and Jeanine.
Aline was a nun and nurse in Shawinigan in the congregation of the "Sisters of Charity of Ottawa" until 1970. She then took care of her parents and taught nursing at the CEGEP de L'Outaouais. Married in 1974 and retired in 1989, she travelled extensively with Michael until 2007.
The family would like to thank the Centre d'Accueil Champlain, especially the staff and those in charge of activities on the 2nd floor for all the good care given to Aline.
