

André Solomon Marcel Leroux, a transport truck driver, resident of Ottawa, passed away comfortably at the age of 61 years old, on February 4th, 2018, surrounded by his loved ones at the Elizabeth Bruyere Hospital. He survived by his sisters Claire and Toni Leroux, his brother Gaston, his partner Sue Demers, his sons Phil (Brenda Cruz) Leroux, his son David Leroux, and his son Marc (Amanda) Leroux. His grandsons Manny, Marco, Owen and Isaac Leroux. He is predeceased by his parents Antonio and Marguerite Leroux, his brothers Auguste, Marcel, Robert and his son Raymond Charlebois. Andre was born in Hawkesbury on July 19th, 1956; he was the son of Antonio Leroux and Marguerite Levac. He was employed at National Grocers for many years. He also worked seasonally for John Sweeping Company. He was the partner of Sue Demers, they shared 12 years together. He enjoyed spending time with his partner Sue, his son Phil and his family, as well as the outdoors, the simplicity of his little home; he had love old currency and muscle cars. He will be remembered for his loyalty, free spirit, his friendly hellos, and practicality of living and enjoying the life he was given. He was a very hard working man and won many awards for his outstanding work ethics & safety measures when on the job. Ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 5th at 10:45 AM at the Notre Dame Cemetery (455 Montreal Road, Ottawa).
