It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Doris Evelyn Montbriand (née Waugh) peacefully at home surrounded by her children.
Motivated by kindness and generosity to others, Doris was well loved by family and friends. She had a fun-loving spirit, liked to laugh and enjoyed hosting large family meals on special occasions. She was the best mother a child could have. Although she will be sorely missed, she will certainly be welcome where she is going.
Doris is predeceased by Ted, and her former husband Guy Labelle. She leaves to mourn her children Steve (Cathy), Jeanne (Sofia), Suzanne (Geoff), Carole (Gord), and Roch (Edwina), as well as her grandchildren Ryan, Tyler, Sarah, Jenn, and Angela, and great-grandchildren Vincent, Rory, Vanessa, Weston, Fletcher, Charlie, Estelle, and Henry.
The family would like to thank the many wonderful care providers for the kindness they showed Doris during her final years. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, May 22nd at 10 am at Saint Patrick’s Basilica, 220 Kent Street, followed by interment at Notre-Dame Cemetery attended by family members.
