shows you how often I go on Facebook. I did not know about Aug. 28th or Aline and I would have been there for sure. Sorry we missed it. Having met your Dad only a couple of times, it was an honour for me to have met him. I'm sure he will be missed by everyone who knew him. Our deepest sympathies to you espacially and your family.

Doug was friend to us and a better one can not be found. His dealings all ways  were even handed. We love him and miss him very much.

         I know how cherished this time is for you and your'e family as I have lost my dad also almost 2 years now. I know for sure your dad was a great person because he did such a great job raising you and giving you these wonderful values in life. Douglas R. Lamb, to some he was also known as Poppy Lamb. Although distance kept us from seeing eachother as much as I had wished, I will always have my memories of him forever in my heart. The best thing about Poppy is that he was such a loving caring man who always knew how to make you smile and laugh. Which is the best thing about my memories, because of his amazing traits when I think back about MY memories with Poppy they ALL end with a smile. He`s in my thoughts and memories forever and he will always be a part of my inspiration.
We sadly lost this great man, but the thing about great men, is that they will always and forever have their memories kept alive by those they have inspired and touched throughtout their lives.

Doug you touched so many hearts and Ginnie and I are thankful for having you in our lives for the past five years.  We miss meeting with you in the Ajijic market to pick up the latest DVD's. Sorry to miss the memorial service.  We will be attending Bill & Gail's daughters wedding.

Knowing you is most certainly knowing who your dad was.He was a funny,caring and compassionate man. We are away on August 28 but will be there in spirit to celebrate your dad's life.

Doug was a very good father and provider and spoiled us all very much. He was always involved with the Community and was a mayor, member of the School Board, Credit Union, Figure Skating Club and at one time he was even an  announcer on the radio.  He loved cars and also travelling. and we travelled extensively in the United States, Europe and Canada.  

Doug will be missed  a great deal by his  family.

Kathy you have done a great job on this menory of your father - anything else and you would have heard about it.he tained you well. 
December 11 was the best/worst day of my life - 6am he called - he had the problem figured out and a box of pills and we would be back home - we had our day, joking,buying halls just in case. holding his hand when he was in pain.  We could not decide on the BEACH - he had it booked - Lamb could not decide on drivers licence trip we brought him to our home in Blyth, he saw me play hockey we went to the Branch.
Diane and I enjoyed trying to keep up to the Lamb - we loved this great man and are better for having him as part of our life.

To Kathy and all of your family looking over the photo gallery makes one realize the importance of the passing of time . My mom passed away almost 10 years back and she is still there because of what she was a kind and happy person that love many just like your father Kathy, That is the gift they leave us , the memories the values that endures the test of time. When Rene' & I first moved to Mexico. . 
it was Doug & Mary who had the answers to all our questions and concerns.  Doug would throw together a pot of stew
and we'd all commiserate together.
Rene'especially enjoyed their trips to
Quad. and Mc'Donalds breakfasts with
Doug.  We enjoyed his 'quirky,silly'
sense of humor and we will miss his phone calls beginning with " Is that You"? ?
Always reassuring,calm,sensible and
knowing the best way to attack any problem. He earned our profound respect.

It's often said that people come into your lives for a reason; Sam & I are truly blessed to have had Doug in our lives for quite a number of years;  When Doug first met Sam their interest was the same in their passion for technology. As the years went by their friendship also grew stronger.  Douglas was always appreciative what new technology info Sam had to offer, little did he know that he was actually mentoring Sam on life lessons in patience, kindness, generosity and unconditional friendship;    We are both truly thankful to have had Douglas in our lives.  He has been a special friend to both of us and our memories of him will be with us for the rest of our lives.

When Doug and I first met he was the doting figure skating father to his beloved daughter Kathy.  The bond between the two of them was too beautiful for words.  He later became a father figure and friend to my two children.  He was the kindest, most generous and giving man and remained a good friend for the years to come.  I know he will be sorely missed by his family and friends.  May he rest in peace.

      We were privileged to know Doug while we lived in the same neighborhood in Mexico.   He was a good friend, and as everyone says, was always there to help.  We enjoyed his morning walks/visits with the dogs - trips to Guadalajara to buy 'stuff' - his trips to Texas (our home) to buy car etc. - and his stew!
      He will be greatly missed.   We are glad to know he is in Heaven with his Lord Jesus Christ.

Mr Lamb touched our lives with friendship, with inspiration and in his humorous way instructed us with wisdom. My son remembers Doug as the nice man who let him feed his dog peanut butter. In one way or another he wil always be remembered.

Doug was a good friend & neighbor to Leeta & myself.  We served on the Chula Vista Norte homeowners Board of Directors off & on for some 4 years of the 12 years we were neighbors.  Doug performed the dreaded job of bill collector & did a lot of bookkeeping for no salary as a service to his neighbors.  He will be sorely missed by his friends, neighbors & his two best friends, Ocho & Nina.

Doug took us under his wing our first winter in Ajijic when we rented next door. He generously took us everywhere and introduced us to life in Mexico. Every winter we celebrated his birthday together and enjoyed our visits with Mary Helen, Doug and his "girls" [Nina and Ocho]. We really missed him this last winter. He was a wonderful man who will be always be in our memories.

A wonderful friend whom we first met in Toronto, who later became our neighbour in Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico. Always so happy and willing to help whenever or wherever he could - always enjoyed those giganic cookies he brought back from Guadalajara.

We had great times together in Ottawa.  I will always cherish those memories

Doug to Bill & I was a wonderful caring person, we lived beside him and Mary Helen in Ajijic for one winter season, they were so helpful to us and introduced us to another couple, Bill & Gail who have become very dear to us.  We will always remember his sense of humour and willingness to help in any way he could. He will always be remembered, Bill & Marilyn Barkovsky
