One can only say that this beautifull person,did what was her trademark, help people out in all the possible ways to fill the
legal  needs in assisting there obligations to get justice ..Edith

Edith was my mentor- she was extremely knowledgeable, supportive and a great cheerleader for me - and I’m sure countless others- I spent roughly 3 months with her (via zoom) during lockdown and truly enjoyed our days together. She made learning fun. She spoke often of her twin sister, parents  and her niece- you could feel the love she felt for them when she spoke of each of them. I truly am very sorry for not only the families loss but the legal community’s loss as well. Gone too soon. May her family and friends find comfort in her memories.

I grew up a couple of doors from the Hollys. They were wonderful people and I remember Edith and Marie so well. Unfortunately I lost touch after moving away from Ottawa but the news of Edith's passing shocked and saddened me. Edith was a kind soul, and even though I only knew her as a teenager, I imagine she did great things for a lot of people in her personal and professional life. The Holly family is in my prayers.

I am a lawyer from Ottawa, I had the pleasure of working with Edith on  cases we had together. She was such a courteous colleague who saw her role not only as a litigator in an adversarial process (although she could play this role when necessary), but she took her role as an officer of Justice very seriously.  We do not often come across such a good hearted fellow lawyer.  She devoted herself selflessly to  her law practice and to helping her clients. She treated everyone of them equally, poor or rich, she would help them. I am sure that we are a great many of us lawyers and clients alike that  will miss her. She left us far too soon, which leaves us with a heavy heart, but appreciation for what she did and who she was. She was more than a colleague, she was someone we could trust. I wish to extend my sincere condolence to all her family, I pray they may find solace in knowing that Edith did so much good in her 25 years as a lawyer.

I was home to IHM on August 26th, and heard the sad news.  The last time I saw Edith was at a LCAT test that didn't go well for either of us.  
I am happy to say that both of us appear to have made adjustments and passed.

I shared a practice area with Edith for 7 years.  Family is a very mentally and physically challenging area and it takes a lot of emotional energy.  Edith is to be commended for her hard work.

The St. Pat's crew would meet up with the St. Pat's crew and take the bus (no 58) down Heron to Baseline Road then do the mad dash to St. Pius.

Never have I had to write such a note and don't know where to start. Like most, I am shocked. I would visit Edith occasionally when I had a translation that required notarization. She was ALWAYS so pleasant, accommodating, supportive and encouraging. Even in the limited nature of our "business" relationship, it was hard not to appreciate the person Edith was. And we had several brief chats beyond our business dealings...and Edith enjoyed practicing some of her Spanish with me. I truly appreciated her  kind demeanor and will miss her. I met Edith about 17 years ago when I first became a family lawyer in Ottawa.  We had many cases together over the years. She was a great mentor and had a collaborative approach that was truly focused on helping families to get through separations in sometimes very difficult situations.  

Edith had a great sense of humour and was compassionate towards her clients and other lawyers.  She will be missed by the Ottawa legal community.  Prayers for her friends and family. 

Edith was an incredible woman who I regarded as a source of nurture and support. She was full of light, positivity, grace and love. Edith’s smile would light a room along with her infectious laugh. I will forever be grateful to her and for all the support she gave to me and so many other families. Always willing to help others and go the distance.
