I was lucky to have worked with George at South Keys Chapters and what a great guy he was. He was always smiling, always so nice, and he wore the best sweaters! I always tried to get information from him on his cool career but he’d only smile; he never budged. Everyone loved him there. 

My sincere condolences to George's family.  I had the pleasure of taking French training with George 25 years ago.  And George invited our family to dinner one Saturday evening.  I have very found memories of a kind and thoughtful man.  Our prayers are with you at this difficult time.

We deeply regret not being able to attend the wake or funeral.  We would have liked to tell you in person how they both spoke of all of you so proudly.

So sorry to hear of George's death. I was a good friend and colleague of Carmel's and will never forget how lovingly he cared for her when she was so sick. My heart goes out to his family with yet another loss, this time of a warm and caring father and grandfather.

My sincere condolences to the family. George was a great colleague and always willing to help solve a problem. He will be sadly missed.

Some of my favorite childhood memories are of Uncle Dode and Carmel visiting the farm. We always had a good time.  We will miss him.

We have so many happy memories of George and Carmel and their beautiful family. We had not keep in touch after we were living in the U.S. and now in Quebec City. Our sincere sympathy to Carrie, Theresa, Andrew, and Heather and all his family.

Our deepest condolences to George's family .We were privileged to have George as a hockey coach for our son . He was a wonderful man always with a smile on his face , a real gentleman . So very sad to read of his death.

I was sorry to learn of George's passing. I knew him and Carmel since their arrival from Halifax in the 1970's. While we hadn't been in touch for many years, we did reconnect a year ago. He was an exceptional man - deeply rooted in his faith, trustworthy in his values, and generous to a fault. It was easy to see that he had his priorities straight, i.e. family first, then friends, then work. I was always impressed how "even-keeled" he was. His love for Carmel was at the centre of his life. We're so sorry to hear of George's death. We worked with him on several projects over the years. George's kindness, wit and intelligence always made working with him a pleasure. He was clearly devoted to his family and we know what a loss this is for all of you. We hope that the love and support of family and friends will help you through this difficult time.

I worked with your Mom and, through her, met your gregarious, warm and welcoming Dad. That initial meeting led to many Bridgehead coffees and stimulating conversations. Your Dad always had that slightly conspiratorial smile that went well with his inimitable story-telling abilities. He was generous with his time, with his friendship and, above all, with his insights into human nature, well-honed after years of project management.' But, his goodness and his loving nature shone most when it came to his family. He loved you all very much and that love grew as the family expanded. I hope that in the future you will be able to say Remember when Dad and laugh at some memory of happier times. 
George, may you rest in well-deserved peace.

I knew George because we worked for the same organization. He always took the time to chat. He was a great guy. My sincere condolances to his family.

To the MacFarlane family, I was so sorry to hear of the loss of George. He was a customer of mine for 30 years and always enjoyed talking to him about his travels and our dogs. He will be missed greatly.
He was always so pleasant when he came in to the pharmacy and he was a friend more than a customer.

To a very fine man whom I knew in my youth and reconnected with such a short time ago.  Clearly you have left the legacy of an amazing family and a very positive mark on the world - a world that is a better place because you were here.  Rest in peace old friend. We celebrated our dear friend George with a toast of fine single-malt scotch after dinner last evening.  We remembered and talked about the good times and laughter we shared with George and Carmel.  We miss you both but are grateful for having had you guys in our lives.  Cindy and Mark
