Hedy Buxbaum

March 5, 1935 – March 17, 2017

Passed away peacefully at the Elisabeth Bruyere Hospital on Friday, March 17, 2017 at the age of 82. Hedy was predeceased by her husband, Frank and her partner, Ernie. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Rosmarie and son-in-law David Cartwright, and by her daughter-in-law Karen. Predeceased by her son Harry "Butch." Loving grandmother of Barbara, Nikki (Dan), Francine (Joel) and Jennifer (Dustin) and great grandmother of Maxine, Harris & Austin. She will also be sorely missed by her sister Boza (Martin, deceased) and her sister Bella (Avri). She was predeceased by her sister Ria, her brother Martin (Vera) her sister Magda, her sister Anci (Zwi) and her brother Milan (Denise). She will also be deeply missed by her many nieces and nephews, her extended family and all of her friends. She will be missed by her companion cat of 11 years, Philip who has now joined her daughter`s furry family. Hedy was looking forward to joining her siblings and teaching them her newest love of the card game 5 Crowns. The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to all of the wonderful staff and friends that she made over the last 2 ½ years at the Crystal View Lodge and thanks to the staff at the Elisabeth Bruyere Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their professional and compassionate care.
