Born Hilda Barker in 1921 in England, she moved to Canada as a war bride after marrying Canadian Airman, Frank Zillinsky in 1944. Hilda and Frank had three children - James, Gary, and Susan. Her dedication to others was evident through her love for her family, deep friendships, and volunteer work within the community.
She is survived by Gary (Valerie) and Susan (Ken) and her grandchildren, Emily and Julia. She will be remembered for her good humor and generous spirit.
Hilda's celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 2:00pm at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa, ON followed by a reception.
In memory of Hilda, donations may be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) or the Arthritis Society of Canada.
