I was with Bill when life was tough and I spent the best years of my life with him and his family. He was a dedicated engineer and I still remember now , after 30 years, the beautiful moments spent together on a Romanian ship going around Europe. Life took us together through immigration and difficult moments, but we did it anyways. 

I can't believe it is 4 years but Bill was and is in my heart all the time.  Rest in peace my friend...

The destiny was to spend many years together and I had the privilege to meet all the members of your family from Romania and Canada. Especially I want to mention to that you loved Cecilia so much.

I was your neighbour in Constanta, and first time I met you in High School when we started to be in the Gifted Math Class from Mircea cel Batrin High School.  And, we continued to be friends during the Army Service and University when even we shared the same apartment from Drumul Taberii. We lost contact for a short period of time during the first career years and that I had a pleasant surprise to receive a phone call from Rome, advising me about your arrival in Canada. I went to airport when you arrived with your friend Bogdan, and I welcomed to my apartment. Uiar helped you settle and give you the first information about the life as an immigrant in Canada.

We never lost contact in Canada and the proof are photos that actually are shared by others which brings many nice memories.

For the people looking at the pictures I will give some explanation about the anniversary where those pictures were made:

- 1992 Chicago Eastern- Bill made an effort to come from Ottawa by bus, and I drove him to Chicago to spend Eastern with his High School colleagues Cornel si Sorin.

-1995 - 20 years High School Graduation Aniversary organized by myself at my apartment and at Ambasodor restaurant from Toronto. He insisted to bring his best friend Bogdan and the participants at Ion's funeral could listen to Bgdan's speech and see the affection between them.At this event he met Betty.

- Daniel Munteanu wedding. Our colleague Daniel orginezed the event at a Golf Club in Toronto.

-Santa Lucia Cuba- Betty orginezed a reunion of many families and friends in Cuba, and probably Belu had one of the best good time spend in vacation when not only the adults had a good time, but also his kids Andrew and Natalie.

-July 2011 Montreal 30 years University Graduation Anniversary- This event was organized by our colleague Liliana at her house and at the Romanian Restaurant from Montreal. The event was a great success and you can see how happy was Bill at that event.

Again, my sincere condolences to your family and I am sure that all your colleagues and friends we will miss you. Rest in peace.

Farewell my Old Friend.  We had such a journey in life: high school, army service, university years, first job and a new adventure as emigrants.  Often we contemplated the spectacle of the world, being thrilled or making fun of it.  And yes, what a time it was! Time it was, and what a time it was, it was/A time of innocence/A time of confidences

I had the pleasure of working with Ion for past 3 years, and it was always a pleasure. Provided me with many a laugh, and was great to see him on my trips to Toronto. 

He will be deeply missed.

I'm very sorry to learn about the loss of Ion.  My deepest sympathy goes out to his family and friends.  I worked with Ion for a couple years at Openet in Canada, and it was a pleasure and privilege to have him on the team.  He'll remain in our hearts and prayers. I knew and worked with Ion for fifteen years, both at Syndesis/Subex and Openet. His passing was a huge shock, I still don't think it has sunk in that he's gone. I keep expecting him to walk into the office or stop by for a chat and to make everyone laugh with his wicked sense of humour and infectious laugh. We will miss him terribly.

I was very saddened to hear of Bil's unexpected passing yesterday. I've known him since I was born and have many fond memories of our families together. My dad and Bil had their own unique way of speaking, like a secret language that didn't make sense to others (or me) but it still makes me smile to think of it. My thoughts are with Andrei and Natalie during this difficult time.

My deepest sympathy to the Belu family on Ion's passing. I have been working closely with Ion for over five years and I can honestly say that he made work that much more enjoyable with his great personality and sense of humor. I can only imagine the grief that the family is experiencing, as I feel a bit of a tug at the heart strings when I pass his desk. I will end in saying that we always joked about retiring on one of the Greek islands, being one of the most beautiful places in the world.  If there is one thing I can say though is that you have found an even better place in heaven. Rest in peace my friend- you will be greatly missed.

Life is short but it was way too short for Ion. You will be greatly missed by everyone who knew you.
