est décédée paisiblement le 2 février 2016 au Centre d'accueil Champlain, épouse de feu Maurice L Major (1983), mère de feu Pierre Major (2008), fille de feu Lucien et Ida LeBlanc, soeur de feu Mimi Namer, Claude, Lucien et Jacques Leblanc. Elle laisse dans le deuil son frère Guy Leblanc; ses enfants : Claude (Paulette Lemieux), Paul (Claire Arsenault), Éliane (David Chorney), André (Janet Cooper) et Catherine (Rick Hunter); ses petits-enfants : Danielle Major (Oliver Gerestein), David Major (Sarah), Philippe Major (Lyann Moffat), Valérie Major (Eric Giberson), Catherine Fortin

Annabelle, Ryley, Chloe, Sébastien, Ariel, Daphné, Sofia, Patrick, Caroline et Beau. Bénévole infatigable au Musée des Beaux-Arts du Canada et Action Côte de Sable, négotiatrice chevronnée dans la vente d'ambassades de la Côte de Sable et co-fondatrice de la Société pour l'amitié Chine-Canada. Passionnée de lecture, artiste accomplie, couturière exceptionnelle et grande voyageuse. Jacqueline était connue pour son dévouement, passion, élégance, intelligence et sa forte volonté. Elle s'est toujours dévouée à ses petits-enfants et encouragea chacun à découvrir son potentiel. Il y aura des visites le vendredi 3 juin 2016 de 17h à 21h à la Maison Funéraire Racine, Robert & Gauthier (180 chemin Montréal, Ottawa; 613-241-3680), ainsi que le samedi 4 juin 2016 à compter de 9h, suivi d'un service commémoratif à 10h en la chapelle. La famille désire remercier le personnel au Centre d'accueil Champlain pour leurs soins exceptionnels. Major (1983), her son Pierre Major (2008), her parents Lucien and Ida Leblanc, her sister Mimi Namer and brothers Claude, Lucien and Jacques Leblanc; survived by her brother Guy Leblanc; mother of Claude (Paulette Lemieux), Paul (Claire Arsenault), Éliane (David Chorney), André (Janet Cooper) and Catherine (Rick Hunter); grandmother of Danielle Major (Oliver Gerestein), David Major (Sarah), Philippe Major (Lyann Moffat), Valérie Major (Eric Giberson), Catherine Fortin-LeFaivre (Steve LeFaivre), Michelle Bégin-Major, Brooks Hunter (Chelsea Ogilvie), Tarah Hunter (Ray Smegal), and great-grandmother of Florence, Annabelle, Ryley, Chloe, Sébastien, Ariel, Daphné, Sofia, Patrick, Caroline and Beau. A tireless volunteer with the National Gallery of Canada and Action Sandy Hill starting in the 1960's, a seasoned negotiator specializing in the sale of embassies in Sandy Hill through the 1960's and 1970's, co-founder of the China-Canada Friendship Society in the 1970's, an avid reader, accomplished artist and world traveler, Jacqueline was known for her integrity, dedication, passion, intellect and strong will. She is also remembered for the inspirational influence she bestowed upon all her grandchildren. Visitations will be Friday June 3rd, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Saturday June 4th, 9:00 am to 10:00 am, followed by a Memorial Service at 10:00 am, followed by a reception from 11:15 am to 1:00 pm.
