Jacques Lafleur

Born in Wallaceburg in 1927, and passed away in Ottawa, ON. on February 5, 2017 at the age of 89. Predeceased by his parents Ernest Lafleur and Odile Lafleur. Beloved brother of Paul (Ruth) and Yvette. He will be dearly missed by his nieces Pauline, Michèle and Danielle. Jacques graduated from Merici High School and had great respect for the education he received from the nuns. Other fond memories include working for Farmer Benedict every summer, pride in his father's work at the Dominion Glass Factory, tending his family's vegetable and flower gardens, and a carefree childhood swimming in the St. Clair River. After his Pharmacy Degree from The University of Toronto, he became a much beloved Pharmacist who cared for clients in Chatham, Toronto and Ottawa where he was the sole proprietor of Canterbury Pharmacy on Arch Street. The family would like to thank all the staff from the Centre d’Accueil Champlain for the kindness and care that was essential to his well-being for 15 years. Visitation will take place Sunday, February 19, 2017 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a cause dear to your heart.
