John was such an easygoing man, never a harsh word for anyone.  He was the only neighbour who understood Bowser.  Jan and I will always love him for that.  He was a gentle soul and had a kind heart.  We’ll miss him.  Marilyn and Jan.

John was wonderful friend and partner to my mother.  She was a happier person that got more out of life together with him.  

I didn't know him well but i would have liked to have thanked him for that.

Meredith, sending condolences to you and your family on the loss of your grandfather and the boys great grandfather.  May he rest in peace.

I knew John, when he and I were involved with OSAID (Ontario Students Against Impaired Driving). We drove students to various conferences. He loved life, and loved to joke around. We lost touch after I retired. You will be missed my friend. We had some great  times together. All my sympathy to his family and friends.

Deepest condolences to John's family and friends. I had the pleasure of working with John in the 1980's in Youth Branch. At that time we were part of the Nepean Police Service. John was an excellent boss; he was personable, kind, and had a great sense of humor. He was truly committed to helping kids and was very active in community partnerships. My husband Bob also had the opportunity to work with John on patrol. He will be missed by us both. Fond memories from "back in the day" of policing. Bob and Anda Pember.
