Jeannine Hutchinson

It is with great sorrow that her family announces the passing of Jeannine Hutchinson, nee Landry, on March 21st, 2013 at the Ottawa General Hospital at the age of 62. Born and raised in Azilda, she will be sadly missed by her sons Edward (Eddie) of Kingston (Michelle) and Christopher of Ottawa (Leah). She was a cherished Nana to Keith, Cameron, and Sophie, a beloved fiancee to Ralph Gethings of Ottawa. She was much loved and will be missed terribly by her brothers Michael Landry, Robert Landry (Debbie), Andre Landry (Janice), Jean-Marc Landry (Mireille), Raymond Landry (Helen), Joseph Landry, her nieces & nephews, aunts & uncles, cousins, colleagues and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Maurice Landry, her mother, Rolande Landry (nee Gauthier) and her husband, Ron Hutchinson. Jeannine had recently retired from an extensive and well respected career with the Federal Government. She shared her professionalism with co-workers in Sudbury, Kingston and Ottawa. She was known to be a great cook and homemaker who supported her family through her hard work and dedication. Jeannine's happiest moments were spent camping, gardening and being with her family. She had, recently, been lucky enough to find love again and was enjoying all that a new relationship could bring. Her legacy is the love and kindness that she demonstrated throughout her life. Our lives are better for having known her. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road) Ottawa, on Sunday, March 24, 2013 from 10 am to 11:30 am. Followed by a celebration of Jeannine`s life in the chapel at 11:30 am. Interment will take place later this summer in St. Charles, where she will join her mother and maternal grandmother at the end of her earthly journey.

C’est avec immense tristesse que la famille annonce le décès de Jeannine Hutchinson, née Landry, le 21 mars 2013 à l’hôpital Général d’Ottawa, à l’âge de 62 ans. Née et élevée à Azilda, elle laisse dans le deuil ses fils Edward “Eddie” de Kingston (Michelle) et Christopher d’Ottawa (Leah). Elle était la Nana adorée de Keith, Cameron et Sophie, fiancée bien-aimée de Ralph Gethings d’Ottawa. Elle était très aimée et elle sera terriblement manquée par ses frères Michael Landry, Robert Landry (Debbie), André Landry (Janice), Jean-Marc Landry (Mireille), Raymond Landry (Helen) et Joseph Landry, ses nièces, neveux, tantes, oncles, cousin(e)s, collègues et ami(e)s. Elle fut prédécédée par son père Maurice Landry, sa mère Rolande Landry (née Gauthier) et son époux Ron Hutchinson. Jeannine a récemment pris sa retraite d’une longue carrière et bien respectée du Gouvernement Fédéral. Elle a partagé son professionnalisme avec ses collègues de Sudbury, Kingston et Ottawa. Elle était connue pour être une grande cuisinière, ainsi que le pilier de sa famille grâce à son dévouement et à son travail acharné. Les moments les plus heureux pour Jeannine c’était de passer du temps au camping, faire du jardinage et d’être avec sa famille. Elle avait récemment eu la chance de trouver l’amour à nouveau et de profiter de tout ce qu’une nouvelle relation peut apporter. Son héritage est l’amour et la bontée qu’elle a faient preuve tout au long de sa vie. Vive à ses côtés, à seulement pu nous rendre de meilleur personne. Au lieu de fleurs, des dons à la Fondation du cancer de la région d’Ottawa seraient grandement appréciés. La famille recevra parents et ami(e)s à la Maison Funéraire McEvoy-Shields, 1411 chemin Hunt Club (coin Albion), Ottawa le dimanche 24 mars 2013 de 10h à 11:30h suivi d’une célébration de sa vie en la chapelle à 11:30h a.m. L’inhumation aura lieu plus tard au printemps à St-Charles, où elle va rejoindre sa mère et sa grand-mère maternelle à la fin de son voyage terreste.
