Joanne was professional, competent and personable. I always looked forward to our chats. She would often speak with pride about her family, and she showed an interest in mine. We last saw each other two weeks ago, for which I'm grateful. I'll miss her sparkling presence at Jazi's.

So sad to hear this news. I remember the night Joanne and Alana and someone else I think were at the Chaud. Joanne asked if she could drive my Moms Corvair. She pulled out onto the upper Aylmer road and ran right into the hydro pole. I took over the wheel after that. I got away with that one when my Mom went shopping the next morning and thought someone had hit her car and took off. Lol

I am so sorry for the passing of Joanne. She had such a positive look on life. She was so bubbly and nice and had such a good heart. She would come into the store and we would chat forever. She will be so dearly missed.  May her memory never be forgotten.

My sincere condolences, to all the family. 
I first meet Joanne when I was 12 years old at the Britannia outdoor skating rink. Back then they would play  music and we would hold hands and skate until we got cold. We would head to Peggy and Soggy’s to have hot chocolate and cookies. We remain friends and cross paths from time to time. Two Woodroffe Reunions (25th) (50th) . The two Carlingwood Boys and Girls get together at Lakeside Gardens. She was an amazing beautiful woman in every way possible. She will be deeply miss by everyone who knew Joanne. RIP

While we knew each other all the way back to the mid sixties as teenagers, we did not really get to know each other until we had our two high school reunions over the last 4 years. We share the same wacky sense of humour and love of friends and family. I will miss Joanne so much and our parties will never be the same without her.

Joanne was my Moms, Monnie, hairdresser since I can't even remember when.  She was also  a friend to me and was really part of my family throughout the many year we have known her.  When my mom became ill Joanne went to the hospital and did her hair.  I just saw Joanne a few weeks ago and I am shocked and very saddened by her passing.  The world won't be the same without her and she will leave a large void in the lives of those who knew her.

Joanne has been my mother's hairdresser since the beginning of her career at the age of 19.  For over 50 years my mother Doris saw Joanne each week.  What a wonderful relationship they shared!

I myself had some good stories and conversation with Joanne through all the years.  Joanne had a fabulous personality and an open outlook of life and was a happygolucky women.

We are very saddened by her sudden passing. RIP God Bless.

My family grew up across the street from Joanne and her family on General Avenue in the Vets.  Her parents, Soggy and Peggy, were the most fun parents on the block, and were always laughing, and ready for a party.  So Joanne came by her wonderful personality legitimately.  And she was the best looking girl in our neighbourhood.  All us young boys were madly in love with her.  I used to see her occasionally, and she would always remember me and our fun times as neighbours.  A friend recently told me that Joanne cut his hair, and I now deeply regret not dropping by to see her like I intended.

I  cannot imagine what a large hole she is leaving behind, and how much she will be missed, but I am sure there are memories galore for her family and friends to cherish.  She was a special lady.

Joanne was a  very good friend of my brother Craig Clost.  I met Joanne  last  year when Craig was in the hospital.  Joanne visited Craig a few times  while I was there, they laughed a lot reminiscing about old times and Joanne would cut his hair.  I liked Joanne right away, she was so down to earth and easy to talk to, a lovely person.  After Craig passed we met again at Craig’s memorial and Daralyn,s party, I felt like I had known her forever.
I like to think Joanne and  Craig are together laughing about old times and having a drink.  RIP lovely lady!

For the past 18 years I was lucky enough to have Joanne in my life. She was the one person who decided the colour and style of my hair regardless of my requests. She was a friend and second mom to me and liked to tell clients within earshot that in addition to being my hairstylist she was my legal counsel and primary physician 😀She threw the parties that everyone wanted to go to, served amazing food, told great stories and was always so much fun to be around. So glad we spent so many summers with her. I saw her last week, we laughed a lot and she reminded me to live everyday - she loved her work, her friends but most of all her kids and grandkids. Ally, Peter and I will miss her terribly xox

We were devastated to hear about Jo-Anne’s  passing.  As her neighbours in the Blue Heron Mall for over 25 years we always enjoyed her daily visits to check out our goods.
She was a bright spot  in our  day, always a laugh and an understanding  for what it was like being in the retail.  There will be a big void in the mall and a big hole in our hearts.

I have been a long time friend of Jo omg she almost became my step mother in law ! Been on a few trips with her always fun and lots of laughs. Never needed a Dr as she had all the answers and knew  most of the answers. She had a kind word for everyone, just recently I was in her chair and made the woman beside laugh so hard saying we had made her day .
I took a trip down east with her we stopped at a St Hubert for a bite to eat our bill came I paid As we were taking turns she said she would leave the tip next thing I know the waitress is back at the table crying  Jo as usual had decided to pay it forward and matched the bill ( tip $77.75)  Dr Jo always the kindest sweetest person 
Will miss you terribly 😞
