Josie passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the age of 89. She is predeceased by her devoted husband, Celes. Survived by her brother, Duke Larter (Carol) of P.E.I. Lovingly remembered by her children Judy Barbaro (Tony), Sandra Berringer (the late Ron), Ken McCarvill (Mary Lou), Nancy Ritchie (Kendall), Sue Kavanagh (Brian) and Wendy Lystiuk (Norm). Devoted grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews in P.E.I. The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Patrick’s Home, Dublin House, for their outstanding care and compassion. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road ( at Albion Road). A Memorial Service with be held on Wednesday, November 16 in the Chapel of McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home at 11am.
