Judith Kathleen Roy

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Judith Kathleen Roy. She left this world peacefully surrounded by her family on May 15, 2026, at the age of 81. Born in Fort-Coulonge, Quebec, she was the daughter of the late Léo Soucie and of the late Rose Laliberté. She was the loving wife of the late Guy Roy and the caring mother of Mariette (Leo), Luc, Philippe (Lucie), Angele (Rick), and Yves.

Along with her children, she leaves behind in mourning her grandchildren: Julie, Denis, Richard, Philippe, Geneviève, Stéphanie, Raymond, Mélanie, Véronique, Eric, Alex as well as her great-grandchildren: Brandon, Neveah, Livyanna, Jaxon, Lucas, Emma, Wesley, Vienna and Matteo.

Judith leaves behind her brother Roy (Francine) as well as her sisters Priscilla (the late Gilles) and Carol-Ann (Leonard).

She was pre-deceased by her siblings: Orleta, Raymond, Clifford, Dorothy, Egbert, Normand, Sheilda, Patrick, Rosalie, Joan and Kenneth.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the General Hospital’s 5th floor and the care team at La Maison de l’Est for their care, compassion and professionalism during these trying times.

Visitations will be held at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home (180 Montreal Road, Ottawa, Ontario) on Wednesday May 27th from 2pm until 4pm and from 6pm until 9pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10am on Thursday May 28th at St-Sebastien Catholic Church (1000 Frances Street, Ottawa, Ontario).

In memory of Judith, memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated.

C’est avec grand regret que nous annonçons le décès de Madame Judith Kathleen Roy. Elle nous a quitté paisiblement entouré par son aimante famille le 15 mai 2026 à l’âge de 81 ans. Originaire de Fort-Coulonge au Québec, elle était la fille de feu Léo Soucie et de feu Rose Laliberté. Elle était l’épouse bien aimée de feu Guy Roy et la mère bien vaillante de Mariette (Leo), Luc, Philippe (Lucie), Angele (Rick) et Yves.

Outre ses enfants, elle quitte dans le deuil ses petits-enfants Julie, Denis, Richard, Philippe, Geneviève, Stéphanie, Raymond, Mélanie, Véronique, Eric, Alex ainsi que ses arrière-petits-enfants Brandon, Neveah, Livyanna, Jaxon, Lucas, Emma, Wesley, Vienna et Matteo.

Judith laisse également son frère Roy (Francine) ainsi que ses sœurs Priscilla (feu Gilles) et Carol-Ann (Leonard).

Elle fut prédécédée par ses frères et sœurs Orleta, Raymond, Clifford, Dorothy, Egbert, Normand, Sheilda, Patrick, Rosalie, Joan et Kenneth.

La famille désire remercier l’équipe du 5èm étage de l’Hôpital Général ainsi que les employés de la Maison de l’Est pour leurs bons soins prodigués.

Les visites funèbres auront lieux à la Maison funéraire Racine, Robert & Gauthier (180 chemin Montréal, Ottawa, Ontario) mercredi le 27 mai de 14h à 16h et de 18h à 21h.

Une messe funéraire sera célébrée en l’Église St-Sébastien (1000 rue Frances, Ottawa, Ontario) jeudi le 28 mai à 10h.

En mémoire de Judith, des dons à la société Alzheimer du Canada seraient grandement appréciés.
