words can not say what is in my heart,about my aunt Julie.growing up we where like sisters,as her father was my grandfather. we spent alot of time toghter and had lods of laughs. last summer she came to our family reuion and we spent a day toghter that I will never forget. will always miss and love my like sister Julie.    love to all the grils in your loss, Helen Berry, Halifax.

I was so saddened to hear of Julie's recent passing as we had just reconnected this spring.  We attended the same business course in Oxford and she was a motivation to us all at how she excelled in all challenges set us.  We barely had time to share some of what the intervening years had dealt us but I immediately knew her family was a great source of joy and blessings.  To you all my sincerest condolences and may the thoughts of her many friends old and new bolster you in this difficult time.

Lorena, Amber & Robin, please know that Joe and I are thinking of all of you at this difficult time.  

We just heard today of your Mother's passing - it was a huge shock. The picture of her from school is particularly difficult for me to look at because we were best friends in high school.  I have had that photo of her ever since and it brings tears to my eyes to remember all the crazy things we did together.  Every year on the long weekend in May, Julie always went swimming in the river, it didn't matter if there was ice in the river! She was always the daredevil in our friendship.  We walked all the way from River Philip to Oxford Junction one summer day - just for something to do.

She drove our Business Ed teacher nuts because she would NOT cut her long nails and still typed faster than of the rest of us in the class.  She had a surprise 16th birthday party for me, the first birthday party that I'd ever had.

We called each other every year on our birthdays; God how I'm going to miss that call this year!  Good bye old friend - God speed.

I met Julie through the Spenceville Library Book Club, and our Wellness group, and got to know her more afer I started working at the library. It has been an honour and a pleasure to know her, and I think back on the many funny and enjoyable conversations we had, and was awed by her general knowledge of life 'things' in general, but her love and knowledge of books was phenomenal. And I know she collected lghthouses, and every time I will see one, I know I will think of her. She is being missed by all who new her, and left many happy memories behind.

Lorena, Robin and Amber: My deepest sympathy to all of you at the loss of your mother.  I have known Julie for the last 15 years but I am pleased to have gotten to know her  much better over the past year.  Out of the blue she offered to volunteer at our library and did so for 6 hours each week.  The only day she did not arrive early was the day she picked up her brand new car!!  We had many laughs and chats while we worked together-- her recall of and appreciation for books was very impressive and her dedication to the project she was working on will be hard to match.  She will be greatly missed by her many library friends. I feel honoured to have known her.  Kathy Colwell.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Julie through the library Book Club. We had many laughs together and were all motivated by Julie's enthusiasm for reading.
