Louise Brunet

Nous avons le regret de vous annoncer le décès de Mme Louise Brunet (née Séguin), décédée paisiblement entourée de sa famille, le 8 janvier 2026 à l’âge de 84 ans. Elle était fille de feu Roland Séguin et feu Paulette Charron. Louise était l’épouse adorée d’Eloi Brunet.

Elle laisse dans le deuil ses chers enfants : Roch (Martine), Sylvain (Nathalie), Julie (Mike) et Mélanie, sa chère petite-fille Claudia (Philippe), ses chers arrière-petits-enfants : Noah et Éllie. Elle fut prédécédée par son frère André Séguin (Denise).

La famille désire remercier Claudia Lafrenière-Brunet ainsi que le personnel hospitalier de l’unité des soins intensifs de l’Hôpital Montfort.

Un service commémoratif aura lieu le samedi 24 janvier 2026 à 13 h 30 en la chapelle de la maison funéraire Racine, Robert & Gauthier, 180 chemin Montréal, Ottawa, ON. La famille recevra les condoléances à compter de 12 h 30.

En mémoire de Louise Brunet, en remplacement de fleurs, des dons à la Société arthrite Canada seraient grandement appréciés.

It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Mrs. Louise Brunet (born Séguin), who died peacefully surrounded by her family, on January 8, 2026, at the age of 84. She was the daughter of the late Roland Séguin and the late Paulette Charron. Louise was the beloved wife of Eloi Brunet.

She leaves in sorrow her dear children: Roch (Martine), Sylvain (Nathalie), Julie (Mike), and Mélanie; her cherished granddaughter Claudia (Philippe); and her beloved great-grandchildren: Noah and Éllie. She was predeceased by her brother, André Séguin (Denise).

The family wishes to thank Claudia Lafrenière-Brunet and the staff of the Intensive Care Unit at the Montfort Hospital.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montréal Road, Ottawa, ON. The family will receive condolences starting at 12:30 p.m.

In memory of Louise Brunet, donations to the Arthritis Society Canada would be greatly appreciated in lieu of flowers.
