Marie-Reine Forest

Les familles Gingras et Forest ont le regret de vous annoncer le décès de Marie-Reine Forest (née Gingras), le 22 juillet 2022 à Ottawa, à l’âge de 82 ans. Fille de feu Albert Gingras et feu d’Éxilda Beaulieu, elle laisse dans le deuil son époux Roger Forest, ses enfants: Lynne (Don), Jacques (Jodi), ses petits-enfants: Eric (Alesha) et Luke, Jayde et Jesse, ainsi que sa soeur: Ghislaine et son frère: Joseph (Jeannette), ses belles-soeurs et beau-frère: Marie-Claude, Claire, Yvette, Noël et Armande et de nombreux neveux et nièces.

Prédécédée par ses sœurs: Germaine, Annette (Noël), Thérèse (Lorenzo), Agnès (Dollard) et ses frères: Aurèle (Jeanne), Armand (Jeannette), Jean (Éliane), Yvan, Oscar et sa belle-sœur et beaux-frères : Marthe (Noël), Marcel, Gérald et Florian.

Enseignante de carrière, elle a enseigné à Lavigne et Verner, pour ensuite finir sa carrière à l’Association des enseignantes et des enseignants franco-ontariens (AEFO) jusqu’à sa retraite en 1994. Demeurée active à la retraite, elle s’est impliquée auprès d’organismes communautaires: TFO, Thèâtre des Lutins, Centre de leadership en éducation (CLE), Fédération des aînés et retraités franco-ontariens (FARFO), Enseignantes et enseignants retraités de l’Ontario (ERO-district 27-Ottawa). Selon elle, son plus bel accomplissement et ce qui la rendait la plus heureuse, ce fut de diriger la belle chorale les Octaves du Cartier du Centre Pauline-Charron. Elle y a mis son cœur et son âme à faire chanter les membres, au bénéfice des résidents des centres d’accueil pour personnes âgées, ainsi que pour les membres du CPC lors des concerts annuels.

Remerciements aux médecins de l’unité du foie et du pancréas de l’Hôpital Général, particulièrement Dr. Balaa. Grands remerciements CBI et particulièrement CAREFOR qui m’ont suivi pendant plusieurs mois dans les soins palliatifs. Dons à la Fondation du Centre Pauline-Charron (613-741-0562), le Hospice May Court et la Société Canadienne du Cancer seraient appréciés.

La famille recevra parents et amis à la maison funéraire Racine, Robert et Gauthier le 1 août, 2022, à partir de 12h30 et sera suivi d’une célébration de vie à 14h30.

It is with heavy hearts that the Gingras and Forest families announce the death of Marie-Reine Forest in Ottawa on July 22, 2022, at the age of 82.

Daughter of the late Albert Gingras and the late Exilda Beaulieu. She leaves her husband Roger Forest, her children: Lynne (Don) and Jacques (Jodi), her grandchildren: Eric (Alesha), Luke, Jayde and Jesse. Her sister: Ghislaine, her brother: Joseph (Jeannette), her sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Marie-Claude, Claire, Yvette & Noël and Armande, as well as many nephews and nieces.

Predeceased by her sisters: Germaine, Annette (Noël), Thérèse (Lorenzo), Agnès (Dollard), and her brothers: Aurèle (Jeanne), Armand (Jeannette), Jean (Éliane), Yvan and Oscar, and her sister-in-law and brothers-in-law: Marthe (Noël), Marcel, Gérald and Florian.

As a career teacher, she taught in Lavigne and Verner. Starting in 1975 until 1994, she worked at AEFO (Associations des enseignantes et enseignants franco-ontariens). Active in retirement, she offered her services to many organizations: TFO, Théatre des Lutins, Centre de leadership en education (CLÉ), Fédération des aînés et retraités franco-ontariens (FARFO), president of the Social Committee with retired teachers of District 27-Ottawa. One of her most rewarding accomplishments was as Choir Director with the Octaves du Cartier du Centre Pauline-Charron. She put her heart and soul into directing choir members who sang at residences for the aged, as well as presenting annual concerts for the public.

Sincere appreciation to the HPB group at the General Hospital, particularly Dr Balaa and many thanks for the support from CBI and Carefor during the months in palliative care.

Donations to the Fondation du Centre Pauline-Charron (613-741-0562), May Court Hospice, and the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

The family will be receiving guests at the Racine, Robert and Gauthier Funeral Home on August 1st, 2022, with visitation beginning at 12:30pm. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Chapel at 2:30pm.
