With heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of Betty on Sunday, August 7, 2011 in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of Reg for 61 years. Cherished mother of Russ, Bonnie and Richard. Proud grandma of 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her sister, Patsy and survived by her loving sister, Jean. Friends may pay their respects at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road at Albion Road, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2011. Funeral service will take place in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, August 12, 2011 at 12:30 p.m. Burial at Hope Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff of St. Vincent’s Hospital and the Acute Monitoring Department of the Civic Hospital for their compassionate care.
