With heavy hearts the family announces the passing of our dear mother, Mary Ellen at the age of 91 on December 23, 2025 at home. Predeceased by her husband Stanley Pilcher, son Ted Walker, siblings Gerry, Doris, John, Tom, Chris and Evelyn.
Loving mother to Jim (Claire), Theresa (Larry), Barbara (Shawn), Melanie and Ethel.
Gramma to Bradley, Candice, Leigh, Derek, Shelly and Chris. Forever in Great Gramma’s heart Tiarra, Carter, Xander, Grace, Lainey, Romeo and Warren. She is survived by her dear sister Jean, brothers Aloysius and Edgar. Step mom to Bruce (Sharon), Colleen (David) and Gramma to Miranda. Dearly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and friends.
Mom’s Catholic faith and her love of God had been a guiding force in her life. Mom’s great sense of humour along with her warm smile could brighten any room. Rest in peace Mom, forever remembered with love always.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, December 30th, from 1 – 4 pm, McEvoy & Shields, 1411 Hunt Club Rd., Ottawa.
A funeral mass will be held in the Spring 2026 at St. John’s the Evangelist Church, 2546 Stagecoach Rd., Enniskerry, Ont.
