On Friday, October 1, 2010, in her 85th year. She is survived by her beloved husband Bill, son Dr. Ian (Elizabeth Grant), daughter Margot (Richard Veevers), grandson Brent Veevers, step grandsons Colin and Fraser Veevers and their families. She is predeceased by her brother Harry. Her husband and children extend particular thanks to Pauline and David Shields for their devotion to her. Mary had a distinguished reputation for her decades of volunteer work, both at St. Pat’s Home and in the Girl Guide movement. Visitation at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Rd. at Albion, on Monday, October 4, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass at Resurrection of Our Lord Church, 1940 Saunderson Drive, at 11 am on Tuesday, October 5, followed by a reception in the church hall. The burial will be private. In memoriam donations may be made to the St. Patrick’s Home Foundation.
