Maureen Morrison

Maureen passed away peacefully at the Waterford Retirement Residence, on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the age of 96 years. Maureen was predeceased by her beloved husband Don, with whom she shared 62 years of married life. She is survived by her daughters Jane (Dan Hobson), Mary (Bill Cook), and Nancy (Randy Fletcher). Adored grandmother of Michael and Taryn Hobson, Kaitlyn King (Jordan) and Sarah Fletcher. Thrilled to be great-grandmother to Hannah King. Predeceased by her grandson Peter Hobson, her brother Msgr. George Larose, and sisters Kay, Mary and Marjorie. Aunt Buddy to many loving nieces and nephews. Maureen will forever be remembered for her kindnesses, her unrelenting optimism and faith, and a passionate love and appreciation for her family and friends. She was the consummate hostess for innumerable social events and an involved volunteer and organizer for her church and charities. The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1 pm on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Racine Robert Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Rd,(between Cyr and Savard Streets) Ottawa.
