Passed away peacefully on June 15, 2016 at the Perley and Rideau Veterans' Health Centre at the age of 90. Predeceased by his first wife Jean (Press) and his second wife Jeanette (O'Connor). Also predeceased by his brothers Eugene, Paul and Reginald, and his sisters Albertine (Fortin), Lucienne (O'Connor), Jeanette (Trottier), Alice (St-Pierre), Yvonne (St-Denis), Gertrude (Chartrand) and Gabrielle (Bilodeau). He leaves behind his sisters Lucille (Bergeron), Carmen (Raymond) and Jeannine (Lemire), and his brothers Marcel and Gerard, his beloved stepchildren and grandchildren, and many, many nieces and nephews. Moe lived a good life. He travelled extensively and was extremely proud to have served with the Regiment Maisonneuve in the Second World War. He was also a devoted employee of Dominion Grocery for over 40 years. Not willing to hang up his hat just yet, Moe spent the next 25+ years volunteering at the Perley and Rideau Veterans' Home during which he came to know many of the staff who were there to welcome him with open arms when he himself became a resident of the Perley just two years ago. Special thanks to Perley's wonderful staff, especially Brenda, Shawn, Ted, Orly, Clarene, and his good friend Bob Paradis. Visitation on Wednesday, June 29 at Racine Robert & Gauthier, 180 Montreal Rd., Ottawa, from 6 to 9 p.m., and on Thursday, June 30 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Perley Rideau Veterans' Centre (Lupton Hall Chapel). Service in the chapel at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Perley and Rideau Veterans' Health Centre, Arts and Crafts Department.
