Nora Kerrigan Munro

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nora Munro, who died peacefully on September 22, 2025, at the Ottawa General Hospital, at the age of 61. Over the last few years Nora struggled with a series of health issues which ultimately shortened her life.

Born on February 4, 1964, in Ottawa, Nora built a life rooted in family, friendships, and community. A dedicated retail manager, certified Nutritionist, and wellness practitioner, she was deeply committed to her work and to helping others live healthier, more balanced lives. A lifelong learner, she pursued her professional goals with energy and focus, while always making time for the people around her.

Nora had a remarkable ability to bring people together. Whether through gatherings with friends, long lunches, or within the Parkin Circle community, she created space for connection and belonging. She loved camping, cottaging, good food and wine, art, travel, and reality TV. She had a quick wit, a generous heart, and a strong sense of adventure.

Nora is survived by her daughter, Angela who cared for her over the last many years. She was predeceased by her beloved partner, John - their relationship was a source of strength, love, and deep connection.

She was deeply loved and will be missed beyond measure by both family and friends.

Memorial Reception to be held on Friday November 21st,2025 from 5pm to 9pm at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home and Chapel (1411 Hunt Club Road).
