Born on December 30, 1948 to Mary (née Rogers of Cape Breton, NS) and Walter Roselle in Montreal, Quebec, Pat earned her nursing degree from St. Mary’s College in Montreal and spent her career working in Intensive Care, Coronary Care, Newborn Intensive Care, and Emergency at Scarborough Centennial, Kingston General Hospital, Ottawa Civic Hospital and Sheik Khalifa Hospital in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Predeceased by her husband of 33 years, Robert (Bob) Charbonneau, Pat and Bob were married in a blizzard in Montreal on December 27, 1969 and are missed by two daughters, Michèle-Renée (Charles Vincent) and Danielle (Richard Sowery) and five grandchildren – Patrick (14), Daniel (12), Sophie (10), Micah (9) and Otis (4).
Pat was the second oldest of nine children. She is survived by her siblings Kay (Doug) Laing, Bob Roselle (Carol), Judy Roselle, Don (Christine) Roselle, Shirley (Charlie) Roselle, Nancy (Guy) Roselle, and Ron (Donna) Roselle. Predeceased by her brother Fred Roselle. She was a loving aunt to many, many nieces and nephews.
A consummate hostess, Pat enjoyed cooking, bridge, reading, skiing and more recently shuffleboard.
Visitation will be on Saturday, June 8 at 1:00 p.m., with a celebration of Patricia's life at 2:00 p.m. at McEvoy Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road). A reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Tribute Fund by the Registered Nurses’ Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated. Special thanks to the staff at the Greenbelt Family Health Team, Maplewood Retirement Community, the Ottawa General Hospital and the Champlain LHIN for the comfort and support they provided.
