It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of Peter, at the Carleton Lodge, in his 87th year. He leaves behind Antonia (nee Vandenbelt), his beloved wife of 60 years. Peter was the proud and devoted father of Michael (Laurie) and Karin. He was the cherished, fun loving “Opa” of Emilie and Matthew. Peter will be dearly missed by his siblings: Vida, Bill (Nancy) and Sandra (Roy). Predeceased by his parents, Zora and John Rogina. Peter will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, sister and brother in laws. Throughout his travels Peter enjoyed many treasured, life long friendships. The family extends sincere thanks to Dr. Russell and the exceptional staff at the Carleton Lodge for their kind, compassionate care. We Love you Peter, you were and will always be an inspiration to us all! A private family memorial service will be held. For those wishing, memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
