Born and raised in Ottawa, Richard was the third eldest of eight children of Fred Tasker (deceased) and June (nee Helmer - deceased). Richard’s commitment and love for his friends, family and siblings Darryl (Diane), Darlene (Marty), Bonnie (Jerry – deceased), Janet (Stan – deceased), Charles, Stephen (deceased) (Lorri), and Cherryl was unwavering and were forever in his heart. Richard is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and members of the Martin family.
Richard was an extremely kind soul, hardworking and always put others first. Richard will be greatly missed and will never be forgotten.
Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of life at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home on Thursday July 17th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm or from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 4:00 pm and then a reception.
