Roger Roland Jean Cauvier

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father Roger who was just shy of his 89th birthday. He passed away peacefully with his daughters by his side. Roger was the loving husband of Marielle (Côté) Cauvier and cherished father to Line (Luc) and Julie (David). Wonderful Grand-Papa to Sara, Mélissa, Jonathan, Sasha (Jean-François), Tara (Lévis), and Great Grand-Papa to Félix and Alix. He will be dearly missed by his sister Lise, brother Yves (Josée), his nephews and many friends. You could always count on Dad for a good laugh and great advice. He was an elevator mechanic by profession, a fountain of knowledge, a jack of all trades, and he was always there to help. As he would always say “Enjoy yourself, it’s later than you think”.

A celebration of life will be held in the chapel at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Road, Ottawa on April 6, 2021 at 2:00 PM. Due to the Covid restrictions, the celebration will be celebrated in the intimacy of the family.

C'est avec le cœur lourd que nous annonçons le décès de notre père Roger, qui allait fêter son 89e anniversaire. Il est décédé paisiblement avec ses filles à ses côtés. Roger était le mari aimant de Marielle (Côté) Cauvier et le père chéri de Line (Luc) et Julie (David). Il était un merveilleux grand-papa pour Sara, Mélissa, Jonathan, Sasha (Jean-François), Tara (Lévis), et un arrière grand-papa pour Félix et Alix. Il manquera beaucoup à sa sœur Lise, son frère Yves (Josée), ses neveux et ses nombreux amis. On pouvait toujours compter sur papa pour un bon rire et de bons conseils. Il était mécanicien d’ascenseurs de profession, une fontaine de connaissances, un homme aux talents multiples et il était toujours là pour aider. Comme il le disait toujours : " Amuse-toi bien, il est plus tard que tu ne le penses".

Une célébration de la vie aura lieu à la chapelle du salon funéraire Racine, Robert & Gauthier, 180, chemin Montréal, Ottawa, le 6 avril 2021, à 14 h 00. En raison des restrictions du Covid, la célébration se fera dans l'intimité de la famille.
