It is with sad hearts and a lifetime of wonderful memories that we share the passing of Roger St-Louis on May 12, 2022, in his 101st year. Extraordinary father to (predeceased) Gilles (Carmelle), André (Cathy), Sylvie (Mike), and Jean (Heather). He is survived by the mother of his children, Yolande (nee Perreault). Caring grandfather to Nicholas, Daniel, Patrick, Chloé, Sébastien, Justin and Sophie. Great grandfather to Jackson and Kiai.
Born on December 20, 1921, in Crysler, Ontario, he moved with his family to Kirkland Lake, Ontario, in his early childhood. He later joined the RCAF as an aviation mechanic (1942–1945). After the war, Roger went on to become an electrician, followed by a successful proprietor of Bolton Electric for 30 years.
Roger was a selfless, thoughtful, and generous man with a passion for travel. His intelligence and curiosity for life led him on adventures spanning three continents. He thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated people from all walks of life, amongst whom he freely shared his keen sense of humour.
Dad, you are gone but will never be forgotten!
For those who wish to honour him, donations may be made to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). At his request, a celebration of his life will be for immediate family only.
