Ronald MacDonald

It is with deeply saddened hearts the family announces the passing of Ron MacDonald (Mick) on September 21, 2015 at the age of 84 years. Precious and dearly loved father of Barb Conrod, Deeply loved and devoted Poppa to Matthew (Dana) and Laura Conrod. Loving brother to sisters Eleanor (Peter) McGlashan, Sheila (Gordon) Robinson. Predeceased by his sister, Beverley Estensen, half-sister, Eunice (Orville) Chamberlain, and parents, George and Beatrice MacDonald. Ron leaves behind nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many dear friends from his former apt. complex. Ron treasured his time he spent with family and friends. He had many years of fond memories accompanied with stories to share. He found enjoyment in bingo, cooking, and spending time in Kazabazua at the cottage. Kazabazua was a place he held dear, it was his home away from home. Ron had many friends over the years in Kazabazua, many wonderful times were spent at Frank Noel’s home. A very dear and treasured friendship. A kind and gentle man, Ron always looked for ways to help others. Heartfelt, thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at May Court Hospice for their care and compassion to Ron and his family. Visitation will be held at Racine & Robert Funeral Home Located at 180 Montreal Rd, Ottawa Ontario, on Saturday October 3rd 2015 from 10:00 a.m.to 12:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service in the Chapel. A burial will take place on October 17th 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity United Church in Kazabazua Quebec followed by a reception.
