Stéphane Joseph (Phano) Ricard

Stéphane laisse dans le deuil sa famille aimante, son épouse et conjointe bien-aimée des 25 dernières années, Bernadine Eckensviller, et sa fille dévouée, Anna-Angèle Ricard. Il laisse également dans le deuil ses frères Daniel Ricard et Dominique (Nathalie) Ricard, sa belle-mère Anne-Marie Cousineau, sa demi-sœur Josée Éthier (Daniel Rochon), son demi-frère Stéphane Cousineau, ses tantes et oncles, ainsi que de nombreux cousins, cousines, neveux et nièces. Il laisse également dans le deuil ses beaux-frères Brian (Dawn) Eckensviller et Glen Eckensviller. Ses parents, André Ricard (2024) et Lise Loyer (1980), l'ont précédé dans la tombe.

Stéphane a adoré jouer au baseball dans sa jeunesse, puis au softball mixte plus tard, où il a rencontré Bernadine, la femme de sa vie. Passionné de baseball, de hockey et de football, il aimait aussi la chasse et la pêche, une passion qu'il a transmise à sa fille. Ces moments partagés ont été particulièrement précieux pour lui et sa fille, surtout depuis qu'il avait investi dans un emplacement de camping au Domaine des Huards, sur le réservoir Baskatong. Il s'y est fait de nombreux amis, notamment Serge et Christine, Luc et Lisa, Manon et Gaëtan, et bien d'autres. Membre actif du Club de Radio Amateur Outaouais Inc. (VE2CRO), il manquera beaucoup à ses collègues radioamateurs. Son indicatif VE2SEN restera à jamais dans le silence.

Stéphane était un homme au grand cœur, toujours prêt à aider ses proches. Pour sa famille, il était leur « Ours en peluche ».

Les arrangements funéraires ont été confiés aux salons funéraires et à la chapelle McEvoy-Shields (mcevoy-shields.com). Stéphane a été incinéré et une cérémonie commémorative aura lieu en 2026.

Stéphane restera vivant à travers les vies qu'il a marquées et l'amour qu'il a partagé avec sa famille, ses amis et tous ceux qui l'ont connu. Repose en paix, mon cher, sachant que ton amour et ta lumière continueront de briller dans le cœur de ceux qui t'aiment.

With profound sadness, his family announces Stéphane’s sudden passing on November 30, 2025.

Stéphane is survived by his loving family, his beloved wife/partner of 25 years, Bernadine Eckensviller, and his devoted daughter, Anna-Angèle Ricard. Also survived by his brothers Daniel Ricard and Dominique (Nathalie) Ricard, his stepmother Anne-Marie Cousineau, stepsister Josée Éthier (Daniel Rochon), and stepbrother, Stéphane Cousineau, his aunts and uncles, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law Brian (Dawn) Eckensviller and Glen Eckensviller. He is predeceased by his parents, André Ricard (2024) and Lise Loyer (1980).

Stéphane enjoyed playing baseball in his early years and then co-ed softball in later years, where he met the love of his life, Bernadine. He was an avid sports fan of baseball, hockey and football, and he also enjoyed hunting and fishing where he passed his passion for fishing onto his daughter. This became the best father/daughter times especially since he invested in a campsite at Domaine des Huards on Résevoir Baskatong. He made close friends there, Serge and Christine, Luc and Lisa, Manon and Gaëtan and too many more to mention. He was also involved in the Club de Radio Amateur Outaouais Inc. (VE2CRO) and will be greatly missed by his fellow radio brothers. His call sign VE2SEN will be forever silenced.

Stéphane had a big heart, looking after those close to him and lent a helping hand whenever and wherever needed. To his family, he was known as their “Teddy Bear”.

Final arrangements are in the care of McEvoy-Shields Funeral Homes & Chapel (mcevoy-shields.com). Stéphane has been cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held in 2026.

Stéphane will live through the lives he touched and the love he shared with family and friends, and all those who knew him. Rest in peace, my beloved, knowing that your love and light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who love you.
