Stephen Roy de Rosenroll

Dearly beloved husband of Carolyn Broadhurst for 29 years, loving father to Caitlin and Roy de Rosenroll, and cherished son of Eileen and the late Rodney de Rosenroll, passed away quietly at home on October 14, 2014 after a 10 month battle against pancreatic cancer. Stephen is survived by his fond brothers James, John (Niamh), and Peter de Rosenroll; and mother-in-law Patricia Broadhurst, brother-in-law David Broadhurst, sisters-in-law Lesley Broadhurst (Harry Teitelbaum), and Jennifer Malcolm (James). He will also be missed by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. He is predeceased by his father-in-law Thomas Broadhurst. Stephen was a highly respected employee of Bell-Canada for 33 years, retiring in 2012, and was actively involved with the Outaouais Field Hockey Club since his teenage years. Stephen will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, integrity, and love of the outdoors. Our thanks goes to the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre, Bayshore Home Health, and Carefore Home Care for their wonderful efforts and support during his treatment. The family will receive friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road), on Thursday, October 23, 2014 after 10 am followed by a celebration of Stephen`s life at 11 am in the Chapel.
