Veronica D'Aoust died peacefully on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at the Duke of Devonshire on Carling Avenue. She was predeceased by her husband Roger D'Aoust of Buckingham and her brother D'Arcy Charette of Ottawa. She is survived by her brother John Edward “Ted” Charette of Ottawa. Although Vera had no children, she will be missed by family and friends. Sincere thanks to the staff of the Duke of Devonshire for their kind care and to Coreen D'Angela from Home Instead for her loving companionship through the final stages of Vera’s life. Visitation at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion), on Wednesday, February 1 from 1-2 p.m. followed by a memorial service in the chapel at 2 p.m.
