Wayne Robert Moore passed away on December 2, 2025 at the age of 85. He is preceded in death by his father Samuel Moore, mother Mary Adams Moore and sister Colleen Carleton. He will be missed by his wife Rose, daughter Nadine (Hong), son Daniel as well as cousins, nieces and nephews.
He had a long and distinguished career in the Royal Canadian Navy where he reached the rank of Chief Petty Officer 1" Class. Wayne received many awards and recognition for his hard work and dedication. He remained active in the military community long after his retirement. Wayne's legacy of kindness and dedication will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved him.
A visitation will be held on December 18, 2025, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at McEvoy - Shields Funeral Homes and Chapel, located at 1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa, ON, K1V 146. A memorial service will follow from 2:00 to 3:00pm at the same location. A reception will be held thereafter from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
