Bill passed away peacefully in hospital on the 14th of May with family by his side. He was the son of the late Earl and Ruth (Ferris) of MacGregor Manitoba. Bill was the proud and beloved father of Jared (Liz Mildon) and Trent (Kyla Fisher), cherished grandfather, and the devoted and loving partner of Leslie Garnett. He leaves behind his twin brother Ron (Reenie), his brother Lyle (Lynn Grinstead), his sisters Shirley (Bill Maloney) and DonnaLee (Maynard Magnuson), as well as many nephews and nieces. Bill had a distinguished career with PWGSC where he received many Commendations, Awards of Excellence, and enjoyed many friendships. As per Bills wishes there will not be a service. A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held on the 2nd of June from1:00 until 4:00 pm at his home, 21 Kolo Drive, Ottawa. All are invited to attend. “His spirit lives on through the eyes of his children.” Donations in Bills’ memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
