Peacefully, at Sunrise Residence, in Montreal, after a long battle with cancer on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the age of 67 years. Predeceased by his parents Stephan and Julia Symko and his brother Jeremy Symko. He is survived by his sister Vera Myers of Ottawa and his brother Orest G. Symko of Salt Lake City, Utah. The family will receive friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road) on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. Panachyda at 7 pm in the funeral home. Funeral Service on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Shrine, 952 Green Valley Crescent. Interment Pinecrest Cemetery.
