

Deacon Dante Tibor Manalo Born: December 2, 1951 Entered into eternal life: October 7, 2016 Loved music and had been part of the Parish Choir since moving to Oxnard from Chicago, until his ordination to the Diaconate. Joined the Cursillo Movement 14 years ago and had initiated to start the Ultreya Center in Oxnard. Ordained to the Diaconate Order in 2007, had been in charge of the pre-baptismal class then undertook the RCIA program in the Parish until his illness. He also took part in Feeding the Children in the Philippines, by sponsoring the Program, "Haligi Ng Bata, Inc." ( Children's Foundation). He was a devotee to the Blessed Mother, and started the Perpetual Help Novena in the parish. It used to be done in a home, until he was able to move it in the church, with Benediction and Eucharistic Adoration, prior to his ordination. He relished going on a pilgrimage, especially to Holy Land the Marian Shrine - Fatima, Lourdes, Knock (Ireland), La Vang (Vietnam), and Guadalupe ( after which, he was diagnosed with Cancer). Deacon Dante loves the Word of God, especially the ones written by St. Paul, and he had aptly kept them in his heart to his last breath.
