Frances Mendoza Saldaña

9-17-1928 to 9-30-2014

Our dear Mother, Frances Mendoza Saldaña was called into the presence of her Lord on Tuesday, September 30th, 2014. She was lovingly surrounded by her family.

Mom was born in Brawley, California, on September 17, 1928, and was the daughter of Francisco and Rosario Garcia. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Alejandro D. Saldana. Most of Mom’s life was dedicated to being a loving wife, devoted Mother, and a caring homemaker. She was blessed with having a large family that included eight children, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Truly her “quiver was full” (Psalm 127:4-5).

Mom will always be loved and missed by her children, Joe Saldana (Helen), Frances Hum (John), Lydia Porter (Bruce), Art Saldana, Claudina Saldana Flores (Michael), Larry Saldana (Yolanda), Martha Quintana (Rafael), and Eddie Saldana (Lucy).

Mom will also be missed by the many friends she made along life’s way.

The Saldana family would like to give special and heartfelt thanks to those who cared for our Mother, the wonderful staff of Victoria Care Center, and also the compassionate people from Vitas Hospice Care.

Services will be held on Friday, October 10th 2014, at Funeraria Del Angel Conrad's & James Reardon at 401 W. Channel Islands Blvd, Oxnard. Public viewing will begin at 11:00 am. The Memorial service will start at 12:00 Noon, followed by burial at Santa Clara Cemetery, 2370 North H St., Oxnard.
