

Henry graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School in 1952 at the age of 18 years, he then ventured out to California. A few years after moving to California, he met his wife to be Marilyn Joan Bohringer and they were married in Sept of 1957.
Henry served in the United States Army and was released with an honorable hardship discharge, after the death of his second daughter Elner Harriet in 1958. Surviving daughters: Veronica, Susuan, Rebecca and Tamara and 12 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, in which he was very proud of.
Henry and Marilyn settled in Simi Valley, Ca in 1963 where they raised their family.
Henry retired from the City of Los Angeles as a painter in 1981.
In 2013 he lost his wife Marilyn of 56 years. He continued to live in his home alone with the support of his family until last year. He went to live in an assisted living home in Newhall, Ca to live the rest of his life with full time care.
Henry James Converse was one of a kind! And will be truly missed by all that knew and loved him.
