It is with great sadness, that the family of Jocelyn Hernandez announce her passing on Saturday, August 22, 2020. She was surrounded by her immediate family at the time of her death. She was 16 years old.
Jocelyn was born and raised in Oxnard, CA with her parents and siblings. She was loved and cherished by all who knew her. She was a beautiful person inside and out, always full of life with her beautiful smile. Jocelyn attended Lemonwood School from Kinder through 8th grade and earned many academic achievement awards. She also attended Channel Islands High School. She was avid AYSO soccer player and loved watching Team Real Madrid play. She enjoyed hanging out with friends, going to the movies and cooking her favorite pasta dish. She loved spending time and playing with her kitty “Tiger” who misses her dearly.
She is survived by her mother, Gloria Palacios, her father Ricardo Hernandez, sisters Cristina, Sandra, Daisy, and brother Ricky. She had many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved her very much. “You will never be forgotten and Although we are apart your Spirit lives within us, Forever in our Hearts."
Due to current limitation, 6 feet of space between sitting and standing. Must wear a mask.
A Rosary recited at 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Funeraria Del Angel 401 W Channel Islands Blvd, Oxnard, CA. Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, September 14, 2020 at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Oxnard, CA and burial immediately following at Santa Clara Cemetery.
