Martha Rodriguez Leyva

On Saturday April 26, 2014, Martha R. Leyva, 75, beloved mother, grandmother and friend went home to be with the Lord. She passed away peacefully with all of her family at her bedside. She was a resident of Ventura County for 52 years. She is survived by her eight children, Bertha, Ramon, Maria, Martha, Damacio Jr., Raymundo, Jorge and Laura. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Her greatest passion in her life was her family. She made sure there was always hot food, a cup of coffee and her open heart ready for any one in need. Besides her family, she also enjoyed singing, dancing and living life to the fullest especially while enjoying her time at a casino. Gardening, decorating and traveling were also things she loved to do. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones and anyone that had the privilege of knowing her.

Visitation will be held in the Chapel at Funeraria Del Angel Conrad Carroll, 401 W. Channel Isl. Blvd. Oxnard, CA on Thursday, May 1st, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 2nd, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 500 N. Juanita Ave., Oxnard, CA 93030. Martha will be laid to rest at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park, 2052 Howard Rd, Camarillo, Ca 93012 immediately following. A reception will follow at Funeraria Del Angel Conrad Carroll Hospitality Hall.
