

She was born on small farm in Eldorado, Okla., on December 17, 1920. She was a loving person full excitement and life. From her most humble beginnings she learned the true values of life. She lived thru the depression while teaching quilt making. Thru her parents sacrifices she was able to graduate from Altus College in Oklahoma.
While at college she met her future husband Edmund, thru mutual friends, while out dancing. Edmund was in the Air Force and their adventure began from Oklahoma to the world. She lived in Mississippi, the Philippines, Washington, Japan, California and Florida.
Kay worked for 20 years in school cafeterias. She retired in 1982 as the El Rio school district cafeteria food supervisor. She was involved with the retired Air Force Sergeants, Military Stand downs & ROTC and collecting antiques and so much more.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edmund John Yeksavich. She is survived by her son Mike Yeksavich and wife, Reba. Her daughter, Karen Jurhee Blaigaich and husband, Pete. Her son Jerry Yeksavich and wife Melinda; 8 grand children, 4 great grandchildren with 3 more on the way.
Kay loved her family and was always excited about anyone's activities. If there was something going on, she was ready to go. There was no slowing down. Her energy, love and insight had no boundaries.
She was an inspiration of how to accept life as it is and live life to its fullest. She will be missed but not forgotten.
Visitation will be Saturday June 16, 1-5 p.m. at Conrad Carrol Funeral Home with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m.
