Yevette Marie Ortiz Solano
Yvette Marie Ortiz Solano was born on February 27, 1965, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Myron Alexander Withers, Sr. and Maxine Elaine Belle Withers. She passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion to family.
In 1968, Yevette moved with her family to California, where she would spend most of her life building deep roots and lasting friendships. She attended Sharp Avenue Elementary School, Pacoima Junior High School, and San Fernando High School. Always eager to learn and grow, she later studied bookkeeping at West Valley Occupational Center.
Yevette was a dedicated and hardworking woman. Over the years, she worked for respected companies including Prudential and Sears. Her professional journey culminated in a role she took great pride in—serving as a tax consultant for H&R Block, working as a notary and as a Jafra representative. Even when severe arthritis in her right hip eventually confined her to a wheelchair, Yevette faced life with courage and resilience.
Above all else, Yvette cherished her family. She was a beloved wife to Jose Juan Ortiz Salano and a devoted mother to Steven Webster Redmon and Gregory Daniel Redmon. She is survived by her sister, Michele Maxine Behar, and her brothers Robert Frances Withers, Myron Alexander Withers, and Douglas Eugene Withers.
Yevette was a proud and loving aunt to Joshua, Marissa, Vanessa, Ryan, Kyle, Tyler, Anna, Anthony, and Kenzie, and a treasured great-aunt to Kylie, Meredith, Damien, and Aurora. Her warmth, laughter, and kindness will live on in each of them.
In her free time, Yevette found joy in country line dancing with her friends and never missed the chance to cheer on her favorite teams—the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Minnesota Vikings. She loved deeply, laughed often, and left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Yvette Marie Ortiz Solano will be remembered for her generous heart, her perseverance through life’s challenges, and the unwavering love she gave to her family and friends. She will be profoundly missed and forever held in our hearts.
