

Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 10:00AM in the Earl Bankston Memorial Chapel at Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home which is located at 508 Faust Avenue in Ozark.
Alan was born in Castalia, Iowa and graduated from Postville High School in 1959. He served in the US Army as a helicopter pilot for five and a half years, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. He later worked for several years as an instructor pilot for the primary flight instruction contractor at Ft Rucker, AL. Later he owned and operated a Fed Ex Ground service until he retired.
He is survived by his wife Judy; three children, Richard Schultz of Ozark, Sheri (Gary) Garrard of Bonaire, Ga, and Scott (Jessica) Schultz of Limestone, TN; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren; one sister Sally (Jack) Hagensick of Waukon, IA and brother Jim (Sharon) Schultz of Oregon, IL; sister-in-law Jean Lisowski of Westfield, MA; and several loving nieces and nephews, as well as wonderful friends and his best friend Biscuit.
