

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 24, 2010 from Ozark Baptist Church with Reverend Harry Circle officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to The Diabetes Association or to Hugh Hodges Scholarship Fund c/o Ozark Baptist Church.
Barbara, the daughter of the late Aubrey and Liddie Hale, was born December 31, 1940 in Ozark, Alabama. She was a native and lifelong resident of Ozark and was also a lifelong member of Ozark Baptist Church. Barbara was employed for several years as school secretary at Carroll High School and later as Administrative Assistant at Phillips-Van Heusen for 17 years.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by the father of her children, Jimmy Jackson and a sister-in-law, Joycelyn Hale.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Barbara Lynn Floyd of Ozark; her sons, Jim Jackson (Melinda) of Opelika, Jay Jackson (Lori) of Ozark and John Jackson (Amy) of Montgomery; a sister, Brenda Ring (Keith) of Abbeville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tim and Jill Jackson Wilson of Ozark; her brothers, Dan Hale of Ozark, Randolph Hale (Tina) of Alabaster; eight grandchildren, Leigha Jennings of Willis, Tx., Trey, Hannah, Rebecca and Joshua Jackson of Opelika, Caroline and Lake Jackson of Ozark and John Scott Jackson II of Montgomery.
