Connie Marie Cedeno Flater

Ms. Connie Marie Cedeno Flater, a resident of Ozark, died Friday, December 9, 2011, at her home. She was 33. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 11, 2011, at 3 p.m. from Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Pastor Bobby Peters officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2 p.m. until 2:45 p.m.

Connie Flater, daughter of Sandra LeMonte Chon and Erick Manuel Cedeno, Sr. was born June 21, 1978 in Ozark, Alabama. She attended G.W. Long, and graduated from Carroll High School. Connie was a 1999 graduate of Wallace College. She worked as an LPN at Wesley Manor in Dothan, and was currently enrolled at Wallace College, working to receive her RN & BSN. Connie was a member of Campground Baptist Church. She was very passionate about nursing and the Alabama Crimson Tide. Above all else, Connie cherished her children.

Connie was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Augusto Cedeno.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Mark T. Flater of Ozark; two sons: Jason Riley Elmore and Joshua Bryson Flater, both of Skipperville; daughter, Katelyn Marie Elmore of Skipperville; sister, Angela Cedeno (Ryan) Gore of Ozark; brothers: Erick M. (Amber) Cedeno II of Oklahoma, Erick M. (Kristen) Cedeno, Jr. of Ozark, Nathan A. (Brittany) Cedeno of Ozark; grandparents: Harry and Elisabeth LeMonte of Ozark, Adela Cedeno of the Panama Canal. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
