Mr. Joseph Calvin Lucas

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m, Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at First Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Leonard Evans officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held from the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Mr. Lucas was born September 20, 1955 in Mobile, Alabama. He was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Ozark. Mr. Lucas retired from the U.S. Army at the rank of E-6 (SSG), but was currently employed with Civil Service at Ft. Rucker. He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Brown Lucas.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Jessie P. Lucas, Enterprise, AL; son, Fredrick Beasley, Okinawa, Japan; father, James Lucas, Sr., Mobile, AL; sister, Joycelyn Easter, and husband, Fredrick, Mobile, AL; brother, James Lucas, Jr., Mobile, AL; granddaughter, Kyra Beasley, Monterey, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
