
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, June 9, 2012, at St. Louis Baptist Church in the Elamville Community with Reverend George Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Mrs. Stewart was born September 25, 1918 in Barbour County, Alabama to the late Zellie and Lewis Lightner. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Fate Stewart. Mrs. Lois L. Stewart joined the St. Louis Baptist Church at an early age. She was a very loving and caring person that did not hesitate to lend a hand to anyone who was in need of her help.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters and a son, Daniel Chambers.
She leaves a loving family to cherish her memories; eleven devoted sons and daughters, Mae Lean Caple of Clio, AL, Wilene Beacham (Raymond) of Doster, AL, Eva Mae Williams of Midland City, AL, Ruby Boykins of Elamville, AL, Annie Lois Flowers of Ozark, AL, Annie Liltrot (Anthony), David Chambers, Curtis Chambers of Doster, AL, Travis Chambers (Felicia) of Decatur, Ga, Ze’bedee Chamber of Ozark, AL, Shelley Slater (Roger) of Doster, AL; two brothers, Mr. A. Lightner, Mr. Ulysses Lightner (Mable) of Doster, AL; three special grandchildren, Angela Brown, Exie Williams and Earl D. Johnson; Special niece and nephew, Mary Lightner and Melvin Johnson; also surviving are a host of great-grandchildren, grands, nieces and nephews.
