
Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m.,Tuesday, November 23, 2010 from Woodlawn Memory Gardens. Johnny Turvin officiated and Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directed.
Mrs. Bright was the first born of six children. Her father died when she was in the 9th grade, that is when she became employed as a textile worker to help raise her brothers and sister. She retired as a textile worker in 1987. She was of Cherokee descendant and lived by the Cherokee ways. She was the beloved woman of the Cherokees of Southeast Alabama.
Mrs. Bright met her husband, William J. Bright, on Roswell Blvd. in Chattanooga, Tn. and they became married on April 4, 1947. Soon they had their first born "Sam" not until seven years later their second child, Kathy, arrived then soon arrived James. They were married for 61 years until her husband's death in June 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband and her daughter, Shirley "Sam" Mitchell.
Mrs. Bright is survived by her most loving, caring daughter, Kathy S. Bright. Kathy took care of her parents for seven years; her beloved son, William J. Bright, Jr. whom she loved very much and her beautiful granddaughter, Kathryn Suzanne Dunn.
